2023 Château Lafite-Rothschild, 1er Cru Pauillac Dry | Red | Still

Tasted April 2024. 93% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Merlot, 1% Petit Verdot. 12.8% ABV. Poised and elegant, with racy, mouthwatering acidity, fresh red fruit and layers of comlpexity. Incense and graphite, with floral lift, and a sleek, silky feel on the palate. Powerful but in a restrained, tightly-wound way. Incredibly appetising and moreish.

2023 Carruades de Château Lafite, Pauillac Dry | Red | Still

Tasted April 2024. 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot. 13.2% ABV. Pure, precise and structured, with lots of savoury spice. Red fruit and cassis on the palate with a silky feel to the densely-packed tannins. Fresh and saline on the finish.

2023 Château l'Evangile, Pomerol Dry | Red | Still

Tasted April 2024. 78% Merlot, 21% Cabernet Franc, 1% Cabernet Sauvignon. 13.5% ABV. This vintage the Cabernet Franc is especially singing, and there's savoury depth throughout the wine. Tension on the palate with ripe, linear tannins. Fresh, savoury-tinged dark fruit, bramble and plum, with strong herbal notes.

2023 Château Trotte Vieille, 1er Grand Cru Classé St-Emilion Dry | Red | Still

Tasted April 2024. 53% Cabernet Franc, 44% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Sauvignon. 14% ABV. Trotte Vieille seems to be improving with every new vintage, and the 2023 is particularly impressive. Explosive and decadent with ripe dark berries, mint, licorice and violets. Peppery and savoury on the finish.

2023 Château Duhart-Milon-Rothschild, Cru Classé Pauillac Dry | Red | Still

Tasted April 2024. 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot. 13% ABV. Dense and concentrated with black fruit. Spicy and complex on the nose and palate, with dry spice, cedar, and hints of graphite. Impressive in its subtlety and balance.

2023 L'Ermita, Álvaro Palacios, Priorat Dry | Red | Still

An impeccably balanced wine with layers of complexity evolving from ripe, sweet strawberries accompanied by the delicate perfume of violets and a subtle hint of tea leaves. The palate has an incredible sense of power, with a rounded structure and crisp mineral quality.

2023 Les Aubaguetes, Álvaro Palacios, Priorat Dry | Red | Still

Succulent plums mixed with exotic spice and hints of oak make this an astonishing wine from one of the oldest vineyards in Priorat, having been planted in 1901. Extremely uplifting and vibrant on the palate with refreshing acidity, this wine has a long and impressive finish.

2023 Finca Dofí, Álvaro Palacios, Priorat Dry | Red | Still

An enticing nose of raspberries, black cherries and blueberries combined with cinnamon and slight smokey aroma. The palate has powerful yet silky, well integrated tannins, creating a delicious mouthfeel for this wine.

2023 La Baixada, Álvaro Palacios, Priorat Dry | Red | Still

The extremely aromatic Baixada has got everything. Blackberry-pure fruit, blossom, crushed herbs and a saline element reflecting the warm mineral soils of its small 1.3 hectare plot within the Finca Dofi. An immensely satisfying finish which seems to go on and on.

2023 Gratallops Vi di Vila, Álvaro Palacios, Priorat Dry | Red | Still

The 2023 Gratallops has intense aromas of licorice, thyme and blackcurrant. Despite facing a severe drought during the vintage, this wine maintains a remarkable balance of pure elegance with a palate rich in both fruit and mineral elements.
